I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 15 years in a variety positions. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Bethany College and M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Kansas State University. Throughout my professional career, I have worked as a classroom teacher for infants, toddlers, and preschool children, as well as a Training Specialist and Community Based Program Manager on Fort Riley.  Currently, I am an Advanced Infant/Toddler Technical Assistance Specialist with KCCTO-KITS Infant/Toddler Specialist Network.

I live with my husband Adam in Olathe, KS. We have one very spoiled black lab (Gus). In my free time I enjoy using my Cricut, sewing, woodworking, and home décor design!

I started working in the field of early childhood on a whim - no experience and no education, but immediately fell in love!  Since my first day, I have grown personally, professionally, and academically.  I received my B.S. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi, and my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Mississippi State University.  I have held titles of lead teacher, teacher mentor, center director, college instructor, and currently serve as an Infant-Toddler Specialist.  My current role is by far my favorite.  My passion for supporting early childhood educators in providing quality care is at the heart of what I do.

I live in Wichita, KS with my two dogs (Julep and Dahlia) and my three crazy chickens (Hattie, Millie, and Roxie).  I enjoy being outside when the weather is warm, running, gardening, crafting, and reading.
